Cost Share
SlurpNet is a homelab in Portland and a small VPS in Seattle, run by one person with a day job. There are no tiers because there is no margin. Friends chip in for hardware. Family rides free. Strangers are welcome — DM me first.
Approximate monthly outlay across hardware amortization, network, and storage. Numbers are for transparency, not invoicing.
Honest framing: the operator covers this month-to-month out of pocket. Cost-share contributions reduce that burden but do not go to anyone's salary, no one is "running a business" here, and there is no lane that gets you a different pack or admin access.
No public donation links right now. SlurpNet's cost share is settled directly between the operator and the people who play here — ask the operator on Discord and they'll route you to whatever payment method works for both of you that month.
Direct only — for now. A future revision of this page may add a public Stripe / Patreon / Ko-fi link block once the operator decides which channel to use, but until then the recognition wall below is updated by hand from direct receipts.
All lanes get the same pack quality, the same launcher, the same backups. Lane one means I host your stuff too.
Most people. Show up, play, be cool in voice chat. That's it.
If SlurpNet is a Tuesday-night fixture for you and you can spare it. Keeps the lights on.
You want to run your own pack on my hardware. We'll work out a number. Probably power-cost + a six pack.
Names hashed. Months tallied. Operators who covered part of the rack this period. Public credit is opt-in; if you contributed and don't see your handle, it's because you asked to stay off-wall — that's normal and appreciated.
Loading contributor feed…
How the wall stays current: the recognition wall
hydrates from /api/contributors.json at page load,
so the operator updates the feed (one-line PR against
content/api/contributors.json) and the live site
picks it up at the next CDN sync — no full HTML redeploy needed.
Public credit is opt-in; absence here means a contributor asked
to stay off-wall.
What if I can't pay?
Don't. Lane one is free. Pay if it makes you happier; don't if it doesn't. The rack runs either way.
Can I cancel?
There's nothing to cancel. Stop sending money and you're back on free ride. Save data is yours.
What about non-friends?
DM on Discord first. I want to know who's on the rack. Strangers welcome with a vouch.
Why no card on file?
I don't want recurring charge logic. Venmo / Stripe Link / Cash App / wire if you're old. Quarterly is fine.
What if you get hit by a bus?
Save data and pack repos are on the private GitLab. Co-admin (operator #10) has hardware keys.
